Cascade Giving Garden

Feeding Our Neighbors and Ourselves

All volunteer run garden with 50 years feeding the Cascade neighborhood.

We use organic gardening methods to build the soil, build community, and have fun along the way!

Come Dig In!

We love to get people outside involved in growing food! You can attend our drop by open hours to work on group projects or get in touch with the Garden Coordinator to set-up a tour and discuss individual volunteer opportunities.

Do you have a youth group, corporate group, or similar team of people looking for a way to give back to the neighborhood? We’d love to have your help!

Have an interest in irrigation, composting or public art? We have special teams for those projects too!

The garden is part of Cascade park, one of the largest green spaces in the lower Capitol Hill/SLU area. The garden is also host to the Cascade People’s Center, part of the YMCA and neighbors with the Cascade P-Patch, a city of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods program which hosts individual garden plots for rent. Click for more info about the P-Patch program.

As part of the park, we follow the Seattle City Parks Department rules. When you’re visiting, please do not pick and eat the food unless you’re told you can by a volunteer. Remember, we donate the majority of our produce to the food bank!

Rain or shine, we welcome all our neighbors!
